What is FireMonkey?

FireMonkey is cross-platform Framework developed by Embarcadero. FireMonkey was originally designed by Eugene Kryukov in the company “KSDev” as VGScene.

In 2011 Embarcadero acquired the rights to the software and renamed it to FireMonkey.

Delphi Services and Localization Issue

About five months ago I was called in to look into an localization issue affecting one of our software products. The software in case is a Windows Service written in Delphi. The Fletch Programming Skills Marketability Index

In a couple of posts Jim McKeeth has pointed out that the Delphi language has been climbing in the TIOBE Index. He has also called the community to action in order to make sure that whenever we referenced Delphi on a post to do so using “Delphi programming”.
